No.  Check for Updates won't work for the versions we post here.  We don't want to update everyone until we're sure it's OK.

You can probably find the file on our FTP server.

Are you ready for this?

Uninstalled and reinstalled. Re-imported files and all cds (normally seen in CD and DVD media view) are listed under one artist - 311. This when looking under the 'Artist \ Album' view.

Looking in 'File Location' shows more demons. 311 is listed in many of the other artists files. ???

Looking at the files from Explorer shows there are none of the above gremlins present.  Just checked - they all play from Explorer.

MJ is having an issue importing these files for some reason. All were encoded, tagged, and stored using MJ. Tried clearing the Library and doing another import to no avail.

Also, as mentioned in the other thread about ASPI, burner is still A.W.O.L. Please see that thread for more details.

Bug:

1. When using Convert Format (to convert 192 MP3 to 128 MP3, for example), the left and right channels are reversed!!  This was noticed using the MP3 Encoder (or Lame built-in).

A very minor bug.  When in Library Manager if you select Merge the dialog prompts you to merge the current library with selected libraries.
Problem, you can't select multiple libraries, neither ctl-left click nor shift-left click will select multiple items.

Again...argh! This one was fixed a few builds ago, but it's here again...
BUG: The 'playing now' list doesn't follow when MJ skips to another song, only if the list is sorted by Seq. (Mine is shuffled and then sorted by Artist - Album - Track - Name)

"Failed to save string in registry" when playing search results using Enter in a smartlist. This bug has been here forever.

Search strings are NOT saved when reopening MJ for smartlists EXCEPT in "Playlists/Media Library".

When using visualizations with REMAINING time while playing a LIVE stream, the time is shown as --1:-1
Clean-N-Tidy II is a good example.

How'd you get SP1 build 1073?  It's not official from MS for SP1 testers.

A small issue
The Fullscreen box in the top right hand corner only indicates one option.
Otherwise a wicked product. Excellent work at JRiver

Minor bug.  When using Properties Dialog Rename files from properties I keep getting an error message that MJ could not rename the files... yet when I refresh the list the files have been renamed properly.

Another Convert Format Bug:
1. Sometimes for no reason I can figure out, MJ does NOT add the ID3v1 tag data to MP3s converted to MP3 (lower bitrate).  No v2 tags enabled...just v1. Using MP3 Encoder and 128 bitrate (Normal).  Of the last 13 files I've converted (using Convert Format & HH Convert option), only 3 had the ID3v1 tags added (first time 1 out of 5, second time 2 out of 8...the first converted track always add the v1 tags added).  Nothing I'm doing to cause this (not even playing while converting).

Minor bug (but really a drag).  I've been cleaning up the genre designation for my albums but the tag updating is really sloooow.  Over a minute to update 36 tracks, the only change made was to the genre.

I've had some problems converting tracks from APE to OGG with this build (tags are removed).

Take a look at this thread.

...while adding/subratacting track to/from burn list, the list got the shakes.  Had to kill MJ and start from scratch.

More HH-related Bugs:
1. When initiating an HH Upload, the HH Upload, Options and Cancel buttons are left enabled and clickable during the HH Upload process...I doubt that was intended.

2. The HH Upload Options dialog does not disable the Quality dropdown box and Options button when 'Force file conv...' is disabled (upon entry into the HH Upload Options dialog initially).

Haven't seen either of these for awhile and I can't pinpoint any specific action that is triggering them.

The column labels and dividers disappear from the right hand pane after switching to different Views a few times they reappear.

I have my task bar set to auto-hide, occasionally MJ is preventing the task bar from displaying and I have to alt-tab to other windows.

Any thots about the slow updating of tags?  I downloaded a huge number of albums from eMusic and I want to change the genre for most of them.  I would not disagree if someone said that Ravi Shankar has a jazzy feel at times but Ravi's music = Blues, I don't think so.

i prefer leaving the genre tag blank, however MJ doesn't. it used to leave them blank, but lately it has been defaulting all the blank genre tags to "Blues." if i change them back MJ changes them again the next time it starts up.

An empty genre is a 0 and 0=blues.
