Windows Video Problem
« on: July 12, 2009, 03:23:33 am »

Help,

I tried changing my codecs.

Big mistake.

Every time I try to play a movie windows crashes with a fatel error.

How do I remove all codecs?

I have tried removing CCCodec pack and the movie will play in MC 14.0.25 but green.

If I put the cccodec back on it crashes again.

I tried restoring my computer still no luck.

When I play a movie with no codecs loaded as well as being green the Asus Splended video optomiser flashes onscreen

Please help

Yu dont say what codec is givign the green screen, but try different renderers and also turning off hardware acceleration in the codec settings.

For example.  If I'm using the enhanced or VMR9 renderers and Hardware accel is ON, I get a  green screen with my ATI drivers.  But VMR7 and H/W accel ON works.

If you right-click on the green screen while video is playing back and select Directshow Filters and then your video codec there is probably an acceleration option there.

May not help, but worth a try....
