Controlling J River from Vista MCE?
« on: November 17, 2008, 01:39:30 am »

Well I've seen Rivermote, XPTunes and other ways to control JRiver but I've not see a Vista MCE plugin. This would be ideal as in certain areas of the house Vista MCE is the primary media interface in my home and in many of my clients. I use J River for distributed audio system and would love to be able to see it onscreen in Vista MCE. MyMusic is simply not condusive to distributed audio as all us J River users are well aware. I'm not a software developer so would have no clue as to how to do this otherwise I would.

Can someone consider developing a MCE plugin?
MyMusic sucks as it is only "Local Playback" control.

No one know how to do this? If someone could point me in the right direction I will take a stab and building a plugin for Vista MCE.

This is probably the most basic place to get started:
