Web Remote Control Plugin
« on: July 11, 2002, 03:53:16 pm »

I just discovered this WONDERFUL plugin. It is perfect for the way I have little "Server Farm" set up in my recording studio.

I would love to see more classes in the Style Sheets. There should be classes for Genre, Track, Info, etc so a highly customized style sheet can be used.

I would also like to see player controls at the top of every page.

An XML interface so I could write a nifty Java GUI to it would ROCK!

Thanks for this truly useful plugin guys!

JGourd,
Anything we can do to please you!  This is a really important area to us right now (providing ways to control MJ and opening up the interface, so PLEASE tell us what you need).

Other stuff you should know:

Developer's Zone is a resource.  New in the last few months.  Link above.

Glissando, by ziggurato/dan/da5id is pretty cool and uses the web remote (heavily modified by z/d/d).  Here's a link:

Netremote, by WickedEwok, is in progress to do something similar.  About 2/3 of the way down this page, you'll find him talking about MJ:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=135048&perpage=20&pagenumber=13

Both of these developers live on AVSForum.

Glad you're back.  How are the speedboats?

Jim

[for newer users, JGourd put a lot into MJ development advice early on.]

Also if XML is your thing drop Z/D/D (love that BTW) a line as he has written (is working on) an XML server that talks to many apps... Glissando is his front end for this app that he is actively retrofitting to MJ...
