the new MJ t-shirt
« on: July 11, 2002, 11:40:34 am »

Just wanted to comment on the new MJ t-shirt design. I love it - the minimalist approach works quite well.

Wouldn't it be great to have users send in pictures of themselves sporting these t-shirts next places of cultural magnitude (i.e. Michelangelo's David, the Trevi Fountain, the Louvre, Babe the Blue Ox).

I still think jim went out at lunch time to make that T-Shirt it is not up to the Quality Of MJ Thats For Sure.

I have a t-Shirt Maker About 1\2 A Block From Where I Work, I Could Pirate My Offical Media Jukebox T-Shirt And Make A Profit.

I Am Thinking Of Going South On A Boat With The Profits.

We hired an expensive designer (my daughter, Anna), and had a big budget.

After many months of work, we got a beautiful design out of it, but in the end, we couldn't afford the ink.

You should feel lucky that we didn't cut the t-shirt out of the production budget.

Maybe If i Take it To The Press, And Leave My Wife In The Shirt To Make A Sample I Can Get More Sales. (She Is Wearing The MJ T-shirt Today By The Way).

I think if we send many e-mails to J River (addressed to JimH's Mail box) requesting more T-Shirts maybe we can get him to get some to send out.

When you order MJ you should have some Options.

Like

1. Download MJ from Internet ($24.98)
2. Download MJ From Internet With MJ On Disk ($44.98)
3. Download MJ From Internet With MJ On Disk With T-Shirt ($69.98)

Maybe With An Option To Order A T-Shirt Later.

No One Should Have To Put Up With Not Having An MJ T-Shirt.

At $15 a pop you would think that the cost of ink would be affordable. (:^)

I do kinda like the 70's-chic collar and cuffs, but the "logo" needs a hair more vim.

As soon as mine arrives, I'm wearing it out to the club. With a little luck, it will facilitate some questions. I hope to avoid greyhound (vodka and grapefruit juice) stains.

Ok, expected that.

But half seriously, a MJ plus t-shirt buy option would work.

Less seriously a t-shirt worn by your fav. MJ employee might be a hit novelty.  Complete with digi-pix of the event.  I mean think about it, flags flown over various sites are much in demand.

I like the idea of MJ T-shirt photos from interesting places around the world. Anyone going to climb Everest soon? A summit shot wearing one would be neat. Or MJ users at music events... Here's me getting married in my MJ T-shirt... MJ T-shirt meets famous celeb...

Jim,

I think that's close. But it doesn't compare to this :

Listening to: 'Life's Not A Race' from 'Soundsystem' by '311' on Media Jukebox

Huge Santana influence in this song.

Well I tried to get this guy to pose with his t-shirt, but he wouldn't listen to me, and I wasn't inclined to argue. I did pose with mine, but it looked worse than he would have with his, so y'all will never see it.

Remember "Hey Jealousy"?

"Do you think it'd be alright, if I can just crash here tonight/See I'm in no shape for driving and anyway I've got no place to go..."

Makes me think of college...

Zevele,
The shirts are 100% cotton and the brand is Anvil. The materials are made in the USA, but assembled in El Salvador. Anything else you want to know?
Also, they fit a little tight, so I would recommend ordering a larger size. For example, I am about a medium build and I take a large size.

The Gin Blossoms are a good band. I remember seeing them in Tempe, AZ (their home town) many years ago. They were popular on the college circuit and got some decent airplay for a while.

Going to see Midnight Oil and Soul Asylum tonight here in Minneapolis--wearing my MJ T-shirt, of course!

Midnight Oil! I like this band so much.I saw them many times
Soul Asylum good also
Look like you will have a good evening--enjoy!

I have few records from Gin Blossoms

Gin Blossoms show was ok. You could tell it wasn't very organized, site wise. Four hours to set up the stage and stuff. Thirty minutes of play. Beats a regular lunch though. And they did manage to bumble through it all with grace and style. The best part was watching the traffic - Nearly caused a dozen rear-enders from the dopes watching the band instead of the road!!!

The lead singers birthday is today. What a place to play on your B-day, a dusty construction site with a bunch of dusty construction workers staring at you. All seemed to wonder what the hell it was all about. Hope they have a better crowd at the block party in MPLS.

How many hours did you have to think before you came up with this one?

I kinda like KingSpartas Idea but with a smaller twist, Package MJ on a CD with an Iron-on and the customer provides their own T-shirt.

What the heck! throw in some temporary tattoos.
