I have some File Types set to play with an External Program. The external programs are set to exit when they are done playing the media file. I would like to be able to add files for these File Types to the Playing Now list and have the External Program(s) open, play the file, and close again. Right now, when I try to add another file to the Playing Now list I get a message (generated by the external player) that the external player is already open. This feature will provide more flexibility when using MC as front end.

Could MC look to see if the program specified as an External Program is running? If the program is running, MC would do nothing. If the player isn't running, then MC moves to the next item on Playing Now. MC could also still keep play statistics for the files.
