Thumbnails Disappearing
« on: September 04, 2009, 09:09:05 pm »

Hello,

I have posted this with a different heading and either nobody knows the answer or I have asked the question badly.

My thumbnails disappear at random. Which is rather frustrating as I have to go through them and re attach the image.

Some are the  movie ones and my series which  have all the same thumbnail, but one out of 50 doesn't display??

Should I be doing something to stop this happening?

Cheers

Does nobody have the same problem as this or is this question too small to answer.

Frustrated. :(

I'm not sure. I've never had a problem with thumbnails disappearing.
Only times I've noticed it is when I'm disconnected from server which contains all my video and series, and I try to access the video. Not 100% sure if the thumbnails actually disappear or if the disconnection X just appears over the image. It's not happened for a long time.

You're sure you've got the correct codecs for your videos? Thumbnails should not disappear because of this, but they will not be built if you don't have the right codecs. If you can play it the thumbnails should be built, and they should not disappear.

Don't know how much it helped, but I don't have any other ideas.

Thank you for the reply.

The cover art is on the same Hard Drive.
I get a picture from within the movie not the picture that I have put on.
The codecs I use are the CCCCodec pack.

Try the latest build for a few days and report back, a change was made to effect some situations (Disconnected network drives).
Dunno if this is relavant or not, but worth a try :)

I get a picture from within the movie not the picture that I have put on.

I have only used the in-video pictures, so I'm not sure what does this. Maybe someone else have more knowledge here.
