Podcasts Reappearing

I keep deleting some podcasts from MC 13, but when I plug either (or both) of my ipods (Shuffle and Classic) into my PC, the synch mechanism seems to cause a redownload of some of the podcasts, rather than deleting off the ipods.

Any ideas?
