Thumbnails rebuilding
« on: August 15, 2009, 02:49:40 am »

When I open MC it seems the thumbnails have to rebuild is this correct?

This makes playing a movie difficult as it is jumping due to the thumbnails being rebuilt.
I want to use the theater view but I want the thumbnails to show up I dont want to have to turn them off.

Cheers

The automatic building of thumbnails is not prioritized, and it seems to build in the views you are in. If you do it manually it's much faster. Go to Options and find the rebuild thumbnails option. Not sure what category it's under. Search in the options to find it. It will do it much faster. If you have a lot of items in you're database it would be a good idea to start it before work or school :)

MC does not rebuild thumbnails every time you open it. You just have missing thumbnails which it is building. As mentioned, you can manually kick off a process to build all missing thumbnails.

To build missing thumbnails, go to:

Tools-->Options-->Tree & View-->Thumbnails-->Build missing thumbnails
