Does this remote IR blaster work on the Comcast/Xfinity X1 platform DVR? Cable TV (at least Comcast) is moving completely to this platform.  My current MCE remote won't change channels on that DVR -- it appears that IR blaster simply doesn't communicate with the DVR -- and I've read references to the X1 using some different type of IR coding. However, a Harmony remote control has no problem sending programmed IR codes to the X1. I'd be glad to replace my current MCE remote with the one offered by JRiver if its IR blaster does indeed control the Xfinity X1 box.

No, but you may be able to find them on ebay.  HP was a reliable brand.
