===================================================================
       Still have problems -with almost all cds-
        to the point tu use RealJukebox to play cds

            So i would like an answer to this old post

======================================================================

Had again a problem with it

Beside this if using RealJukebox to get tags,i get more results,and many more'direct results' and no problem
If i get infos for a cd with RealJukebox,i will have this infos when playing the cd in Media Jukebox with cddb cd lookup disable?

The same question concerning FreeDB.If using a program to get FreeDB cd infos once and after it playing the cd in Media Jukebox,i will have the infos?

To make short:if getting cd infos 'outside' MJ,do you get them 'inside'MJ when playing the cd

If we speak of morality,cddb is for me ALL that i cannot stand
Instead of telling that there is less infos at FreeDB,why dont you put some infos in they database?

If sure that it can help Media Jukebox to change for FreeDB,i ready to pay one of my kid friends to upload all my cds on FreeDB .

To make short:if getting cd infos 'outside' MJ,do you get them 'inside'MJ when playing the cd.
That depends on the program you use to retrieve the CD information.

Media Jukebox uses cdplayer.ini if CDDB lookup is disabled, so if the program you use saves information in the CDPlayer.ini file, MJ will find it.

I just tested CDDB\MJ With A Unknown CD, I Got A Message Back From CDDB Syntax Error After Entering In A Discription And Submiting It.

The First Attempt, The CDDB Window Was Lost.

But MJ Retained The Info I Did Enter. Someone Reported This Past Weekend That The Info Was Not Retained.

Look like there is a lot of problems with CDDB
I do not mean it is on the M J side
Look like the CDDB 2 is the problem
Beside this as far as i can see i get the best results-infos and direct infos- from programs using CDDB 1

The problems are not only just 'inside MJ'
CDDB 2 blows up Zone Alarm 3 pro from time to time,never CDDB1.
As i said i'am an 'ex-RealJukebox'.When moving to MJ,i got "no info' or 'indirect infos'[the windows with option] with cds i played with RealJ getting infos
I rip cds now to make some mp3 cds for my trip to Vienna
As you know i'am an old man who still have the full lps culture.I only play a full album,i never used 'playlist' in my life.Because of it i bought a dicsman without tags reading.just print a sleeve with
artist\album and do not care about songs names
It is faster to type  artist\album for each cd than to use CDBB with MJ.and you do not need Alt|PLS|Ctrl|PLS|Del every two cds

But i am a little confused about all this story....
