Windows 7 Decoder Crashes

I get consistently disappointing crashes with the Windows 7 DVD decoder.  After seeking content, it will crash from time to time.  Otherwise, rewinding and fast forwarding will crash from time to time.  I can't scrub for more than 15-30 seconds without a crash.  After playing content for a while, it will crash too.

The symptom is that the video will stretch (full screen to wide screen) and the position will change to 0:00 of 0:00.

Are other people seeing this?  I have the same problem on two totally separate machines, both running Win7 32-Bit.  I am using AC3 filter for the audio decoding.
