PVDinport crash
« on: September 14, 2009, 03:15:44 am »

When I right click send to PVDimport on many files MC crashes MC has uncounted a problem and needs to close.

One file in question is ART OF WAR II BETRAYAL

I have checked the filepath by copying and pasting.

Please help as this is happening on many files.

Cheers

Does it work when you use "Send to" on just one file or does it crash when you select send to with many files?

As I have noted in my previous posts, "Send to" soesn't work with many files. On my system, "Many" means above 50. "Many" might mean something else on your system, though.

It crashes on its own.

It crashes on its own.

I don't understand what you mean. Can you please explain exactly what happens? It's impossible for me to find out what's going on without any information.

I am sorry but in my first post is exactly what happens.
Maybe I am not explaining very well.

If I right click certain files as per the one titled above then send to PVDimport this causes MC to crash.

The message is MC has encounted a problem and needs to close.

Also if I use PVDimport and push start it will work for a few files then as soon as it gets to certain files MC will crash again.

I have checked the filepath on these files and all is exactly the same as in PVD

If there is something that I am missing please let me know.

I am using the latest builds both for MC and PVD

Cheers

Just letting you know that PVDimport is working well.

This is another one of those beastly Gremlins as after a reboot everything was ok.

Thanks

That sometimes happens. Keep us posted, though.

A new version of PvdImport is soon to be released.

The main new feature is Auto Import from PVD. It also contains better handling of fault situations...
