Iphones with firmware greater than 1.4 are not supported due to apple's efforts to keep 3rd party software locked out of the iphone's databases.
The only way you will see an iphone with a current firmware show up in Media Center would be if you have taken photos that are on the iphone's camera roll. In MC, you may then see the iphone, but only the photos on the camera roll.
