Lingering CD Association from MC12
« on: February 10, 2010, 01:46:40 am »

Can't seem to open an audio CD.  Windows complains about c:\windows\system32\mc12.exe.  MC12 was uninstalled long ago.  MC14 is installed now.  Diddling with CD association in OPTIONS>FILE TYPES doesn't change anything.  How can I fix this?

im not sure, but have you looked at the autoplay options in options>cd & DVD?
you could also rightclick on the cd drive in my computer choose "settings" or "options" or "properties" (im not on a english system) and set the autoplay settings there?

hope it helps

Try setting Options > File Types for both of these:
Audio > CD Audio
Other > Audio CD

If that doesn't clear it up, we might have to fix it by hand by searching for MC12 in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT using regedit.
