Auto import not picking up network drives
« on: November 27, 2009, 03:33:53 am »

Hi, I'm running on XP, but my media is on a server running WIndows 7. Folders are referenced by their network id-s, eg \\server\music etc. This works fine and all of the media is visible and plays fine over the wired gigabit LAN.

But if I add any new media to the server, within the current file structure, it is not being picked up automatically. I have the option set to run auto import in the background, the folders are all specified in the monitoring list, but nothing ever get added automatically. If I manually trigger Auto-Import, then it scans the library and pickes up the new stuff, but I should not need to do this. I'm not just being impatient, I've left this on overnight and it still has not picked up.

I've upgraded the server recently, and I'm sure this used to work when the serv er was also running XP.

Any ideas?
