MOV - QuickTime
« on: November 28, 2009, 10:18:23 am »

Is there a plug-in for Media Center 14 that will run .MOV files (QuickTime format)?

If so, where can you find it?

Thanks.

mc 14 has no problem with playing mov files. i dont have quicktime installed, but i guess the installation of cccp, which has all the codecs i need, might have helped.

I'm pretty sure Haali Media Splitter and ffdshow can handle .mov files without having Quicktime installed. If you have Quicktime installed (or preferrably Quicktime Alternative, which is a smaller, better version of Quicktime) you can go to File types (under Options), select Quicktime, and select Quicktime engine as the playback method. At my system, I have all of the above installed, and MC plays .mov files with the file type setting set to automatic.
