Cover art and wav files

How do I add cover art to cd's ripped to wav files in JRv14?  In any other file format, it attaches automatically.  In wav, it attaches only momentarily and then disappears.  I have found the cover art files and tried to re-attach but nothing happens.  I've read that wav files may not support cover art.  Is that the case here?
