Black image thumbs and no view

In Media Center, some pictures will simply not show a thumbnail. Neither will the image itself be shown when I choose to 'play' it.
It's all black, although the actual images are all fine when I view them from the hard disk via the default Windows viewer.

The given images I have found, are ordinary .jpg. Hope you guys know about a way to make them show up again:)

Years back CPUs from VIA could cause a problem like this.

Any kind of B&W / grey images. Or more conretely: Non-RGB images, all had that problem.
But I see the problem is not the case in MC14.
