If I have Version 7.2 and have to uninstall it but don't have the original 7.2 download, can I instead download the latest Version 8.xx and use my Version 7 license to activate it?  How does that work?

Yes, If You Have A MediaJukebox7.rrg File

Use The "Help", "Restore License" once you get mj 8.0.317 installed.

it is recomended you back up your library files, I live on the edge and don't beleave in backups.

I more or less agree.

About 6 or 7 years ago, Peter Norton wrote an article saying that after his office had been robbed and all the PC's taken, he found that only about 30% of the backups they had worked.

I buy a new PC about once a year and try to keep my previous machine around for a while.

I've only got about a meg of stuff that's really worth saving.

well backups are nice if they work, but spent many hours backing up my system before on tape drives (maybe 32 tapes) only to find out not all worked.

The ones that did not work are the ones i needed most. so i always at that time made a complete backup of my system\os and BBS\menus all else could be replaced thru an install of the original software.

i really have nothing on my system i really care about now days, software can be replaced or downloaded off the net.

yes i keep my paper printouts and backup some files to CD-R from time to time but nothing elaborate.
