MJB locks entire computer briefly

I-LOVE-MJB:
I have noticed that when MJB is running, my entire comuter will lockup for a second or two at times.  The only thing that still works is the mouse pointer (most of the time).  I have about 60,000 songs and suspect some "background" process is not sharing nicely.  Any helpful suggestions?

Turn Off Auto Sort.

When i had 131,000 mp3's and used MJ8 this was a big problem with me once this was turned off it worked fine.

also MC9 runs alot better with large file lists than MJ8 does.
