Playlists don't persist with DLNA

I know how to create playlists- and they can be rather nice. Too bad none persist. Any playlists that I create on my client machine go away as soon as I restart MC. My configuration is set so that all media comes from the server- not sure if that makes a difference.

Here's my setup-

MC 14.140 client
Vista Ultimate 64 SP2- all the latest updates
AMD Phenom 9550, 5G RAM

1GB wired network, domain based

MC 14.140 DLNA server
Windows Server 2003, all SPs and updates
Dell PowerEdge- Quad Xeon, 8G RAM, 800GB RAID 5 array
