DLNA – TwonkyMedia
« on: February 18, 2010, 05:58:51 pm »

Enabled DLNA in MC 14 (147)
The NAS (Qnap 119, firmware 3.1.0 build 0708T/ Twonky Media 4.4.17) appears in the library menu
Selecting it generates the error “There was a problem trying to load a library from the selected DLNA server”

This is on  Win7
When using WMP12, all albums on the NAS are displayed and can be played.

If you use FLAC files, this change coming in build 148 or later should help:
Fixed: Loading a DLNA library from some NAS drives would not support FLAC files.

I have a mixture of MP3, WMAL and FLAC
Does this means that as soon as a FLAC is encountered, the whole procces aborts?

Running 151 I have the same problem.

I run MC14 on a dedicated PC (Musica),on  my laptop and the NAS is a backup of Musica.

If I enable DLNA on Laptop and Musica, both see the other machine, both will load the entire library.
This makes me wonder if this is a FLAC issue.
If I access the library on Musica on the laptop:
-the library displayed is the one selected in MC14 on Musica (have 5 different ones), can’t see the others (more or less inherent to DLNA)
-in File > Library I can’t see which library or DLNA device I have chosen (none is checked)
-in the Progress Bar it says Default (1).

I would appreciate if the interface was more  explicit about which library has been chosen

My collection is split in 4 folders, I started with configuring Blues as the only one to be used by Twonky on the NAS. This works, can see the library on the laptop (1039 files)
Tried Jazz (1952 files), it failed.
The files view in MC reports WMAL and MP3 only
I wonder if this is related to the amount of files.
