Thanks, I feel i have gotten the hang of it now. However i have a final problem. I want to auto-tag based on the folder the movies er in. PVD supports regulr expressions, but it seems like it only does for a few types of fields, and not custom fields? Is it not possible to use PVD to tag based on folder-name?

No. In fairness, should you be expecting PVD to do something MC won't do? ;)

What is the data you want to capture? The purpose of PVD is to find and download meta data from the Internet, not to function as a file manager/tagger. Maybe you can change your work flow so the data you want is captured as meta data—which can then be passed to MC. But if the already data exists as a folder name, it should be easier to get using expressions—as I explained here. Have you tried that?
