How do I control startup?

Meshugene:
Supposedly, MC12 will startup as it was left (Last Exit View). Yet, when it starts I have to see a commercial for Amazon or a commercial urging me to upgrade to a product I don't need or a Google search, etc, etc. How can I make it start in Playing Now, as it was left? Also, when I try to update, it fails. Thanks, whoever, for the help.
