constant crash in file properties

I just upgraded from the demo version of 7.2 (which worked incredibly well) and bought my registered version of 8.0.315 and now I am experiencing constant crashing (access violation at 0055a052 ff7604) when trying to access any features of the menu in the file properties page. Anytime I try updating file tags, everything works fine until I try clicking on the menu bar (File, Edit, Tools or Help). As soon as I click the mouse, the program dumps itself. I am using an AMD Thunderbird 1.2 and an Elsa Gladiac GTS video card (GeForce 2 GTS [nv15], 32mb running Nvidia's 29.42 XP drivers). Entire system is updated to latest hotfixes and service packs, including DirectX 8.1 (Just reinstalled OS last night, brand new build...) I can provide more specific hardware/software info at request.

I checked the forum and found nothing like this, so I am posting. However, I have noticed that many of these problems SEEM to revolve around the Nvidia chips (or maybe Nvidia just dominates the video market, lol...)

Anyway... Here is the dump log [deleted]. Any help is appreciated.

We know about the problem and are working to get a fix out shortly...

This was fixed in a new build (still 315) posted just after Matt's message above.

I had the same problem with build 315. I reinstalled build 309 and the problem is gone...

The build 315 from our download page should also be OK.
