Is is possible to display audio encoder?
« on: April 07, 2010, 08:42:16 pm »

I want to view the encoder for my audio in Playing Now and in my Pains and Details view.
ie. for FLAC's i want to see reference libFLAC 1.2.1 20070917,  reference libFLAC 1.1.2 20050205, etc.
for mp3's i want to see FhG, Lame 3.97, Lame 3.98, Lame 3.92, Xing, etc.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Look at the 'Compression' field.

It's filled in well for MP3, APE, and video files.  I'm not certain about FLAC files.

The compression field lets you know if mp3s are VBR or CBR, and it displays “Unassigned” for FLAC's and ogg's.
Not what I was looking for, but that's fine. I'm not desperate for this feature,
I was more just wondering if it was right in front of me and i wasn't seeing it.
Thank you
