Sorting and Auto-sorting not working
« on: June 27, 2002, 01:58:42 pm »

I would have thought that when you look at the list of ripped tracks on an album that it would list them in the order they appear on the origional CD. Why does MJ put them in a seamingly random order?

It doesn't matter what i set the auto sorting to, it still keeps them in this random order.

just figured out that if i order by the Location (which includes the track No. and name) then right click on the album name in the tree view and select "Update Album Order" it fixes this. Is there an easier way to do this? would rather not do this for all 500|PLS| albums...

If they were ripped when your sort was set to something other than track#, they are put in that order, but you can change it to anything you want.

If you aren't using version 8.0, I suggest you try it.

ok, been using 8.0 for all of 2 minutes and already i'm impressed :)

being able to play an MP3 while ripping another disk is a very good thing :)

although the more graphical nature of it does slow it down on this aging machine...
