Can someone guide me please .m4v files
« on: May 02, 2010, 11:32:37 am »

Whenever I try to play itunes videos within media center I get this error http://www.flickr.com/photos/38336428@N05/4571009127/. I have got itunes videos playing using the external program setting but, would prefer to play the videos from with in media center. Any suggestions on how to get this to work would be appreciated.

Thanks

If they are DRM'ed, then I don't think it'll work.

If they are NOT DRM'ed (eg you encoded them yourself with Handbrake or something similar) then you just need playback filters, and it should work with the Playback Method set to Automatic.  The easiest way to get a complete set of filters for MPEG-4 playback is to install the Combined Community Codec Pack.

They must have DRM because everything but my Itunes videos and TV shows play fine.

Thanks

Any video you buy from the iTunes store does.
