Tag editing from Library Server Client
« on: May 14, 2010, 07:53:49 am »

I thought it was possible to edit tags from a library server client and have them update on the server.  I have just tried editing some music file tags from a MC client connected using Library Server.  When I closed my client and then checked the files on the server nothing had changed.

Have I got this wrong?  Do any tag changes have to be done at the server?

I am using Build 38  MC 15

This was requested a lot in previous versions (it's the one feature that will get me to upgrade to 15) but I dont see anything about it being added to 15 yet. :(

Try this:

Tools>Options>Library & Folders>Library Server Client>Automatically sync changes made on client back to server on shutdown.

Man, now I've got to go install 15 at home. Thanks for the tip though! :)

It's not gonna happen on 14.
You need to upgrade to 15.
Tag updating from an LS client is fairly new and those tags being written to the actual files instead of just to the library is very very new.
