Since there are so many beta versions coming out, what effect does that have on your registration key. Could a person use up your allowed amount of keys over time just installing new beta versions as they are released, or does that not apply here. I understand that if a persons system crashes, or your hardrive goes bad, you need to download a new key. But what happens when just installing a newer beta version? Thanks for explaining all this to a tired old fart like me

Mine in not an official response, but all through the 8.0 beta cycle, I believe there have only been 2 occasions when I need to do something to re-instate the registration, and this was because of changes in the format. Who can say what the future will bring, but I typically install the quite frequent new releases right over the existing one, and haven't had to restore my registration.

The only time you are "charged" for a restore is when you go to the restore web page and enter your registration code.
