Windows Aero Skin
« on: August 23, 2010, 08:02:30 pm »

I've been working on a glass skin for Media Center 15 that would match and fit in with the Windows 7 Aero theme, however running into an issue that is within J River's engine. Here is an example.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

The glass effects don't seem to resize with the whole window of the program, works both ways, its like the glass effect is just a set size or just a background thing that can't be resized. If you enable the Noire Glass skin and go to mini mode, same thing happens there.

I am just curious if this is being worked on or will be fixed. I hate to put all this effort into making this skin if its going to be glitchey like this.
(Keep in mind the skin itself is in an Alpha stage right now XD, just pointing out the glass circled in red)

The issue you've just posted has been there in glass skins since the day they were released. I don't always see it, though it is sure to appear at some time during a session.

For another issue with glass skins, go to Playing Now, play some music, and set the display to show "Visualisations" (Cycle All will do).

The black background takes on a weird transparency that's a bit spooky and has very limited novelty factor.

I've noticed that if you maximize the program and close it, then re-open it and it is still maximized it fixes the program. You can then re-size the window and the glass texture/feature stays with the window properly.
