In 8.0, the MP3 encoder is Lame.

I used this encoder from mj8 but when I play them on my mp3/wma music player the songs skip.  It never did this with version 7, and I was using Win Xp.  I know am using win 2k.  Can anyone help

Skips during playback of ripped mp3's could mean your system can't handle on-the-fly encoding.  Maybe try disabling it.  Also, play with "Digital Secure" ripping.
