Restoring Library

I think there was a thread about this recently but I can't seem to find it so maybe someone can provide the solution or point me at the appropriate thread.

I've got about 4000 MP3s stored on CD due to having a feeble HD and I've just bought a nice new 80 gig drive. Anyway the problem is that over time I've changed quite a few of the tags which, of course, have been updated in the database but not in the files themselves. So my question is how do I tranfer the MP3 from the CDs to the new HD while maintaining the integrity of the database?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Use MJ to move the files (right Click, Move or Copy) to the HD.
Use explorer, find the files and change their properties so that they are no longer "read only"
Goto the Properties Dialogue for the files, change nothing.
On the pull down, next to the cancel button - make it say "Update all files"
Click OK.
i think that will work.  It might not be fully automated but it should preserve your database and write the changes that you have made to the database into the the files
