Amex costs vendors more than twice the processing percentage of Visa and Mastercard.  Lots of businesses are dropping Amex, Diner's, etc.

Ask a friend with a MC or Visa to charge it through for you, then reimburse them. Merchants don't like AmEx for the reasons Scronch pointed out.

I think there should be more ways to pay for MJ than just by credit card. Checks, bank/wire transfers, and similar methods should be employed since not everybody uses credit cards. I am a business owner myself, and it is just good business practice.

We take Checks and Goats when we are selling at the Farmer's Market.

Kind of reminds me of the Dr. Seuss book, whose name I don't recall -- wait, it's Fox and Sox -- thanks to google for that and this:

Chicks with bricks come.
Chicks with blocks come.
Chicks with Bricks and
blocks and clocks come.

Live and learn I guess. Sometimes it's the only way.

mdshullaw,
Sorry to make light of your suggestion.  The serious answer is that we will someday do more, but now we have all we can do.  It is a lot harder than it looks, as some around here will testify.
