Problems burning CD's with NERO after installing MJ 8.0.302

Since installing the latest MJ, I burned CD's using Nero 5.5 with my Firewire CD burner drive. While burning my computer locks up periodically (can't type, can't move windows, etc..) After the burn is complete, the problem goes away. I burn a lot of CD's and have not experienced this until this MJ update. Did MJ update the driver for my CDR? Here's my system:
Media Jukebox PLUS 8.0.302
Install Path: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\

CPU: Intel Pentium III 601 MHz MMX
Memory: Total - 523 MB, Free - 235 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows 2000 Workstation 5.0 Service Pack 2 (Build 2195)

No.  And I don't have a clue about the problem.

Did you try reinstalling Nero?

Or uninstalling MJ to see if problem is still there.
