I am trying to burn a cd.....First try set to 8X, Starts to burn then says I have "auto detect" on, recomends turning it of ; I say turn it off no reboot. Starts to record......15 second later( After its written enough to ruin the cd) I got an error message. I try again dropping down to 6X, No "auto detect" question this time. Same thing, 15 seconds ruined cd and the error message( which of course I did not write down!) Third time.....I select test mode as not to trash another cd and try again. Same story.....and it STILL ruined the cd! HELP!!!!!!!

I'm really frustraded now......I've spent 2 hours messing with ASPI and I still can't get it right! I can't seem to get the XP ver. of this ASPI to load. Is it really this hard to record? HELP!!

Here's the latest version of ASPII that works for WinXP

Next time, choose to reboot instead of just doing it.
Install this ASPII version. Reboot your system and then try burning.
It could possible be that one of your mp3's is corrupted which is why the burning is messing up each and every time. I had that happen to me once.
But use a RW cd to test the burning. It'd work better than using a simulation as not all CDRW's can do simulations very well.
My burner will fail every time with a simulation because it's not something the burner supports too well.
Once you've installed the ASPII layer use the provided aspiicheck program to make sure it's installed properly.
