Does CD/DVD drive quality affect secure ripping results?
« on: November 26, 2010, 07:29:22 pm »

As long as they're not broken, of course, are some drives better than others for secure ripping with MC15? I'm not concerned with speed etc in this post, only the end result. Will a successful secure rip always be equally good regardless of the drive?

A 100% secure rip is a 100% secure rip.  Drive and media quality can help make it faster or easier to get a 100% secure rip, but quality is not at issue.  When it says 100% that means it is 100% bit-for-bit identical to the data on the disc.

Thanks, Glynor. That's the way it should be.
