dvd ripping?
« on: November 15, 2010, 04:02:58 pm »

Hi

A lot of todays CD's has movie clips or sometimes DVD bonus disc's. I would like to add them to my music base but can't find out if MC can ripp them. How do you guys handle this issue? I'm not shure
how many different kind of files the record companies use when adding movie clips. It would be cool
to add for example Beatles added movies from every album on the boxset. If MC not have the options
to ripp this kind of files, what software do you recomend instead?

Any info are welcome

There is really no standard for those kinds of add-on media.  Many of them are also DRM protected, which can make it tough.  In most cases, though, if there is no DRM, you don't need to "rip" the content.  You just need to copy it, and I'd use Windows Explorer.  If there is DRM on a "multimedia-CD" then it is probably going to be a lost cause.

For DVDs, just use Handbrake with VLC.  I've also used DVD Fab Decrypter, which works great.
