My CD-R writer is not being detected by the programme. How do I find out what make my CD-r is? All my other media programmes detect the writer automatically. Does anyone else think that media jukebox is incredibly difficult to use

Open Up Your Computer And Look Or Maybe Look In Your System Information

Bobby,

Download Belarc Advisor which will build a detailed profile of all your hardware and software. I always keep a hard copy of my pc's inventory tucked away.  It's free at http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html.

I've only used MJ for a couple of months, so can understand how overwhelming it can seem at first.   MJ offers great flexiblity, adapting to the skill level of the user.   The program started to make sense to me within a few hours of importing my files and playing with the features in media library.   However, I'm still learning some of the more advanced features.   You'll be amazed at how easily it performs tasks that other programs aren't capable or you've previously performed manually.  Be patient, read the Help file, ask questions, and enjoy!

Bobby1945,
If you stick with the program, I think you will be pleased. MJ has a steeper learning curve simply because it does more than other media management programs. You'll get plenty of support and encouragement at this forum.

Bobby1945,

I don't know which OS you have, but on Win2k, just go to My computer, then right click on your cd drive, and select properties.  Then select the Hardware tab.  All the info should be there.
