PS3 and WD
« on: February 20, 2011, 02:15:51 pm »

:-[ i do not have any experience with as powerful a media server as MC version 15.0.174 , all i want to do  at this time is stream all media, audio, pics, and video to my dlna renderers wdtv live and my ps3 slim. when i go to either the ps3 or wdtv live they both see MC and but there are two media servers, generic and ps3 . i obviously have some extra settings that i do not need. like i said earlier i only want one media server and that being MC. i am a little lost with the network management. so could someone please help me so that all i have is MC streaming my media files to the wdtv live and ps3?
my system setup is below in my signature.

Start with the Wiki, lots of great tips in there:

You can use the DLNA wiki http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/DLNA, or search from the main page http://wiki.jriver.com/ for other items you are curious about.  I suggest getting familiar with Smartlists; very handy for listening; here are the rules: http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Smartlist_and_Search_-_Rules_and_Modifiers

The WD and PS3 devices are close enough that you could just delete the Generic DLNA server and use the Playstation 3 server preset for both devices.
