Harmony Remote - Setting up w/ MCE Model Number

I'm programming a harmoney remote for a friend and having issues.  When I did mine beleive I selected either computer or media pc then just selected microsft.  With the new software it's asking for a model number (I presume its the model number of the remote).  They give an example like MCE-1403.  Whichever example they gave we tried and it doesn't work.  He has a generic media pc remote so there is no model number we can reference.

If anybody has any experience here I'd like to get your thoughts.  We're not stuck on microsoft as I know HP makes one as well.  We're also not excited about the idea of bringing my remote over and teaching it each command as there are several.
