Audio Analysis--blank values
« on: January 17, 2011, 06:11:59 pm »

If Audio Analysis produces no entries for any or all values (gain, peak level, bpm, intensity), is that an indication of a corrupted/defective file? (.mp3 only)

By design the analysis tool skips files that already contain the Replay Gain and Peak values. Only these two are needed for the Volume Leveling feature. Untick the "Skip analyzed files" setting in the manually started Analyzer window to calculate also the BPM and Intensity values.

If also the Replay Gain and Peak values are missing then something is not right. However, in that case the manually started analyzer should either hang or warn about skipped files.

I notice that complete audio analysis values don't indicate files that are corrupted/incomplete files...

Still looking for an app that evaluates the audio segment for completion (correct beginning and end).
