Rip CD falsely identifies disc as ripped already

While ripping CDs two at a time, MC occasionally does not rip the disc because it is falsely recognizing that the disc was already ripped.  this does not seem to happen when only using one drive, but is happening with both drives when they are both in use.

attached is a screen shot showing a little of the erratic behavior.  it should show pending, instead it says on disc while it still rips the track.  this is after i manually forced it to rip the disc.
