What's Best Forum - Endorsement for MC
« on: February 14, 2011, 05:12:46 pm »

What's Best Forum has been getting more positive endorsement for JRiver Media Center lately. The forum was started about a year ago by oneobgyn (Steve Williams) and amirm who both used to post extensively at AVS. It considers itself an audiophile forum and many members spend more than my annual salary on their audio equipment. Vincent Kars, that also posts here, has his own forum section.

A recent thread on server software gives one some insight into what audiophiles are looking for. ScottB, that endorses MC in that thread, is a former CTO for AutoDesk, the developers of AutoCAD. GarylKoh is the owner of Genesis Audio. If you want to spend a couple hundred grand on a pair of speakers, he is the guy to talk to. :) I know you can't follow all the forums, but I thought the developers of MC might be interested in getting input by reading the posts of those that spend a lot of time and money on audio playback.

Thanks very much.  I'll move this to the MC15 board so more people can see it.

I do think the sentiment in the audiophile community is leaning towards MC.
This is what Gordon Rankin (Mr. Asynchronous USB) says:
