Introduced in build 16.0.23 (6. NEW: Playback from Gizmo will update playback statistics and Scrobbles (requires updated Gizmo).) is an AWESOME welcome. Just letting you know, however, that the playback stats are updated as soon as the song is started on the device instead of at the end which is the normal behavior that I'm used to. Nothing major just wanted to bring it to your attention.

Scrobbling and play stats get updated at file request time when using a server.  This is because the server doesn't track the percentage of the file played, and some clients do multiple ranged requests for each file, making it overly complicated for the server to do something more involved.
