password for restore is not being accepted - please help?

Hi,

I am trying get the media centre running however, my e-mail address is kevin at signaturesystems x co x uk and I have been given the password. I am entering it in to the restore box but it says password not recognised?

Please can you help as this is most frustrating?

First, welcome to Interact.

You can have your registration code emailed to you from the Restore page here:
https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi

Look at #2 (the link is called e-mail).

Let us know if that gets you up and running.

Yes that's how I received the code which doesn't appear to work. So what's the solution?

Put the code you received in the box here:
https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi

Make sure no characters are missing from the head or tail.  Try Internet Explorer.

It should issue you a .mjr file.  You run the .mjr file and it will license Media Center 15.

Ok, have tried all you've said and even in explorer as opposed to Google Chrome - no luck?

I just entered your code: GX409-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-B2XH5 (edited to protect your license)

On the restore page here and it gave me an MJR that I was able to install:

Does that code match what you are entering?

yes that's he code i'm using in the right place.....  it does not creare the file you are suggesting?

Could you describe exactly what you're seeing when you enter that code and click 'Restore'?

And since I restored your license earlier, an email was sent to your address with an attached MJR you can also run to install the license.

Matt, I've just uninstalled the media centre and reinstalled it to see if it made a difference...  unfortunately not.

Could you enter the code in the box, and send me a screenshot of Chrome or IE (Alt+PrtScn then paste into email client) before AND after clicking 'Restore'?  I'm matt at jriver dot com.

We're also searching our server logs to see if we can figure out what might be happening.  This isn't a common issue.

i have e-mails fromyou guys but no files attached? Is it possible to speak with someone regarding this? I am happy to phone from the UK?

Ahh  now you're getting technical. The alt+prtscrn is not successful - probably me!!
