I was posting to the forum today within a browser tab in MC 16, and noticed that when one song was fading out and moving to the next in my playlist, I happened to have pressed the space bar in a sentence I was typing, and the music stopped...

I was pressing space repeatedly during the song, but it was only during the passage between the previous and next that the space character seemed to have been picked up by MC as being a request to pause the track.

Not sure how easy this will be to reproduce, but hopefully it's something easy to fix.

p.s. I'm glad you've moved away from the IE engine and chose Chrome...I've been using Chrome for almost a year and have no intention to go back to IE (or Firefox for that matter). Good luck with it, hope it's as flexible as you need it to be!
