Album art "failed to load from inside file"

Problem occured with 16.0.39. upgrade. Thumbnails there but error message appears when viewing tag info - then thumbnail disappears.
Help !!!

Did MC import your old library and settings automatically?  What do you have set in Options > File Location > Cover Art > ... ?

Are all images missing or just some of them?

It might be useful to check the Image File field values. Add the column "Image File" to a list view and check the values.

If the value is "Inside File" then MC has at some stage stored that info and assumes that the image is stored inside the audio file's tag.

If it shows a filename or a filename with the complete path then it is a link to a separate disk file. If the value contains a path then the image file is excepted to be in the media file's folder. Is the field value correct, i.e. does the image file exist on the disk?

It appears MC imported my old library and settings correctly. View scheme set up to indicate image details - whether inside file, file name/disk location or missing.
MC15 ( and earlier versions of MC16 ) all images (9000 albums) stored inside file. V16.0.39 same view scheme, images slowly changing from "inside File" to "unassigned" perhaps as thumbnails are being built? The image files do exists on disk.
