can MC play asf files?

I've got a bunch of home videos that are asf files but double-clicking on them from within my library does nothing. Double-clicking on them from Windows Explorer does nothing either.

As a test, try renaming them to .wmv.  Does that change anything?

No, still gives "Unsupported file type."

Sorry for the delay. Didn't work, but then my husband says that he's not surprised. They are a bunch of home videos taken with a very old camera from way back when and he knows what he needs to download to get them to work.

The more recent asf files work like a charm.
